Merlin Stretch Sensors |
Merlin Stretch Sensors are conducting polymers loaded with either silver or carbon particles. The stretch sensor behaves much like a stretchy resistor. These uniquely flexible sensors create a new class of application possibilities. For example they can be worn around the chest to measure respiration rate or measure contractions during child birth, or create new flexi-toys. Merlin Servo Air Muscles |
Merlin Servo Air Muscles (SAM) are closed loop, compliant actuators delivering unparalleled performance in terms of power to weight ratio and also feature intrinsic compliance. The SAM uses the SAV and LEX Sensor technologies to provide a new class of actuator. The SAM muscle is particularly suitable for human augmentation, advanced robotics and rehabilitation markets and is increasingly relevant in western societies experiencing aging populations with increasing societal needs. |
